OFSTED RATED GOOD MARCH 2013
Hi my name is Lianne. I am 30 years old and have 2 boys, Jake 5 and Callum 4 and a baby girl called Bethany. My husband Michael is a fire fighter in London. We are a very active family and enjoy being outside. I am the eldest of 5 children so I am a natural leader and organiser and very used to being around children.
I am situated in Albion Road just a few doors down from Uplands School, and within walking distance of Sandhurst railway station, the library and Sandhurst Memorial Park. I have been a registered childminder for 3 years and and thoroughly enjoy my job. We attend a couple of playgroups weekly so the children get to experiment with different toys and do a variety of craft activities and also to socialise in a larger group of children. We love being outdoors and enjoy exploring the nearby woodland, parks and nature walks. We visit farms and feed the animals, go to miniature railways, zoo's, different soft play centres, gymnastics and many more.
At home we do messy play or sensory activities at least once a week. We also love baking so children often take home tasty treats for Mum and Dad. I am very creative so we enjoy junk modelling and making things also. We are constantly singing and dancing and we read books daily. I am also open to suggestions from parents as to what activities they think their child would enjoy and happy to incorporate these into our week.
I offer a homely environment where all children are equally important and cared for. I also offer home cooked meals, unsociable hours, evening and weekends and overnight care.
I have an assistant who works with me after school. She is fully qualified in childcare level 3 and has nursery experience also.
I work very closely with the parents of the children I care for to ensure consistancy in children's routines. I am happy to adapt our plans around the children's interests and in fact encourage it.
