Bracknell Forest Local Directory

Branchett, Laura

I am a friendly, caring Ofsted registered childminder living in the Great Hollands/Wooden Hill area of Bracknell Forest. I am able to offer a welcoming, happy and fun ‘home from home’ environment for your children. I share my home with my partner, our 3 year old and 10 year-old sons and our friendly pet dog (Labrador) and cat. I have an NVQ L3 in Caring for Children and Young People and a City and Guilds L3 Working with Parents. I also hold a Paediatric First Aid Certificate and Food Hygiene Certificate.

I have been childminding since Jan 2017 and previously spent the last 17 years working with children and families in roles within children’s homes, schools and for the local council.

Where to go

Great Hollands/Wooden Hill

My home is a non-smoking setting and healthy choices are encouraged where possible. I have a variety of toys and resources suitable for a wide range of ages and interests. I love helping the children to participate in arts and crafts, singing and dancing and storytelling. If a child/family celebrate any particular festivals or occasions I will endeavour to include these when planning activities for the children.

My garden is enclosed and also has an undercover area to promote outside play whatever the weather. The garden can be directly accessed via the house to encourage inside/outside free flow play when the weather permits. We go on walks and attend the local play parks to encourage a good balance of play and learning in the outside environment. We also attend community activities such as toddler groups, soft play, music groups, the library…to encourage the children to socialise, make friends and participate in the local community.
