Family Support Advisors

The majority of schools across Bracknell Forest have a Family Support Advisor based within their school.  This role offers a key link between families and their school.  Parents and carers can access individual support for their family and discuss, in a confidential manner, any issues that may impact their child's education.  The majority of the Family Support Advisors have been trained in "Pyramid for Parents" which is a programme aimed at promoting positive parenting techniques and has a strong emphasis on raising a child's self-esteem.  In addition, many Family Support Advisors run regular parenting workshops which benefit the parents in their schools.
