We provide support and advice to new parents in areas including breast-feeding, sleep, immunisation and teething
Our health visitors, who are all qualified nurses or midwives, are here to support and guide you and your family as your child grows up.
The below video will give you a brief outline as to what our health visitors do, how they can help you and how to contact them.
We provide you with practical support and health advice within your community with a focus on families and young children up to the age of five-years-old.
We are here to answer your questions and give advice on all sorts of topics including breast-feeding, sleep, immunisation and teething.
We work in various locations including your family home, children’s centres and GP surgeries.
During the first five years of your child’s life we:
• offer appointments to review your child’s health and progress
• offer advice and support
We also work with other agencies if you or a member of your family has special needs or a disability to offer you support, advice and information where special help may be needed.
Our teams are based in six areas across Berkshire:
• Slough
• Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead
• Bracknell Forest
• Wokingham
• Reading
• West Berkshire (covering Hungerford/Kintbury/Lambourn/Woolton Hill, Newbury, Pangbourne, Thatcham and Theale)
We now have several advice videos available if you have problems with weaning.
